Handwriting Jewelry Empire

A story about how Caitlin Minimalist built a massive Etsy business starting from a meaningful gift for a friend.
"Caitlin Minimalist is one of the top selling stores on Etsy. She got her break when she was making jewelry for herself and her friends liked it. Then her friend had a special request - her mom or dad had passed away, and the last thing they wrote was a note. She asked if it was possible to get their signature in their handwriting as a bracelet.
Caitlin said 'I can do that for you' and gave it to her for free because it was so meaningful. Her friend was overwhelmed and said it was the most meaningful thing in the world. That's when Caitlin realized people just want their name, their parents' name, their kids' name - ideally in their own handwriting - done in jewelry.
She's now done about 2 million transactions. I would guess her average transaction is $40-50, so that's like $80-90 million in sales lifetime. And she's just this woman out of LA."
