Production Budget Evolution
Share
A story about how MrBeast's video production budget evolved from essentially nothing to massive productions.
During a discussion about video budgets, MrBeast (Jimmy) and others reflect on his production evolution:
"If you go look at his archive, it's like he took a plastic knife and tried to cut a plastic table and it took him 48 hours to do it. That's a dollar fifty video, not a $1.5 million video."
Jimmy confirms the current scale: "Our average video is around $1.5 million now."
But he started with zero-dollar videos, showing how far things have progressed. He emphasizes that despite the budget differences, what matters most is making great videos - sometimes they don't upload for 2 months if the video isn't great enough. As he puts it: "I think it's dumb when people stick to a schedule and they're like 'oh the video is not great but I upload every Tuesday.' Who cares?"
