Sourdough Cold Email Success

Sam Parr shares a story about meeting a woman at Whole Foods who successfully launched her sourdough mix business.

"I saw this lady giving out samples at Whole Foods for something called Jesha. It's a sourdough mix you can use for pancakes and muffins. I was trying some and asked if this was her business. She said she started it 6 months ago and just cold emailed someone at Whole Foods asking if they could sell in the store. They said yes and now they're stocking it on all the shelves.

I asked about her background and she said she worked at a fintech startup for many years, saved up money, quit, and launched this business. I tweeted a picture of her with this story and it got read by 2 million people. She somehow found the tweet and apparently knocked it out of the park with sales just from that one tweet. I didn't even know her handle - I just said 'if you know who she is, send this to her' at the end of the tweet."
