Murdoch's 8-Hour Stamina

Shaan Puri shares a story about attending Rupert Murdoch's exclusive annual gathering of media executives in Las Vegas.
"Murdoch owns all these properties - Wall Street Journal, Fox, and a bunch of huge media publications spread around the world. He gets everybody together once a year and rents out the top floors of the Wynn in Las Vegas. He puts all the CEOs and executives from his different properties there during CES, but they don't attend the conference.
They stay in his presidential suite, starting at 8 AM going until 6 PM with back-to-back 30-minute talks. They bring in speakers from different fields - the number 2 guy at Facebook would come, CEO of Slack Stewart Butterfield, and others. It's not presentations - just 30 people in a room with someone sharing their view of the world followed by questions.
Looking around the room, you'd see people getting distracted - the president of Fox's attention drifting, the New York Post owner on their phone. But Murdoch, at 87 years old, was like the star pupil. He sat in the first row, never looked at his phone, stayed attentive the whole time, took notes, asked the best questions, and had the most energy. This guy went 8 hours straight with no bathroom breaks. He's 90 now."
