Manual Post Office Sorting

Shaan shares a story about his surprising discovery of how manual and basic the operations are behind the scenes at post offices.

"If you ever go to the post office, you should just ask them 'Hey, can I see what it's like behind the door?' They'll be like 'What, why?' and I'd say 'I've just never seen a post office.'

They'll open the door and it's like Santa's elves factory - it's the most unbelievable number of packages. You'd expect to see conveyor belts and systems, but they're like 'No, we just got these trolleys and we just keep them in different areas. The ones going over there stay over in this area and we hope we don't lose them.'

It's insane that this system even works. It's like an incredible achievement - you can mail something from California to New York for 45 cents and it gets there in 4 days, pretty reliably."
