Zuckerberg's Multi-Domain Evolution
Share
A story about Mark Zuckerberg's evolution from being perceived as a dorky tech CEO to becoming an impressive multi-domain achiever.
"Every year Zuckerberg sets these goals. One year he said he only wants to eat food that he killed or grew, and I think he did it. Another year he said 'I'm gonna learn Mandarin because I want Facebook to come to China' - his wife is Chinese. He learned Mandarin and then gave a talk at a Chinese university.
They flew him out there and they're like 'Thank you so much Mark Zuckerberg for coming' and he just starts speaking Chinese fluently and they were blown away.
He got into E-foiling, which is basically surfboarding without a wave. He did it with an American flag and had too much sunscreen on his face. Recently he posted about completing the Murph workout (a military workout challenge) in 39 minutes and 58 seconds, which is incredibly fast - close to the world record of 34 minutes.
He's basically become one of the richest people in the world, one of the most powerful people in the world, and now one of the fittest guys - all before age 40. He's been married to the same woman since college, has two kids, and his family life seems awesome. The most scandalous thing about him was some college AIM messages that leaked, which were pretty standard for an 18-19 year old."
