Office Sharing Pays Forward

A story about how Sam Parr pays forward the help he received when starting his business.
"When I started my business, someone let me work out of their office for free. Now we have a lot of space in our office, and we try to repay that favor to other people who are just getting going.
We have a lot of companies work out of our office - really smart people who worked at McKinsey or went to Stanford. I always meet these amazing people who on paper are perfect, and I always tell them the same thing: this is not an intellectual game, this is an emotional game.
Starting a business that is very successful financially - intellectually it's very easy. Maybe being like Elon Musk and starting a company where you send a rocket to Mars requires intelligence, but for companies like WeWork or Instacart or Uber, these are really simple concepts. They're not that hard to execute. What's really hard is controlling your emotions."
