CEO's X App Fumble

A story about how the CEO of X (formerly Twitter) was caught not having the X app on her phone's home screen during a live interview.
During a live interview, Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, pulled out her phone while discussing the platform's metrics. The interviewer noticed that she didn't have the X app installed on her home screen - they could see Facebook and Instagram icons, but X was nowhere to be found. What made it particularly embarrassing was that she had the Settings app in her dock, but not the platform she runs as CEO.
As Shaan Puri notes: "She thinks she's mic dropping, she thinks she's saying this really impressive important thing, and she's just embarrassing herself... This is why as the mayor of cringe city we live for this moment."
The incident highlighted concerns about her leadership credibility, as she was actively promoting and defending the platform while apparently not having prioritized having the app readily accessible on her own device.
