8 Sleep's Viral Tweet

A story about how a single authentic tweet about 8 Sleep led to unexpected business opportunities.

Sam Parr shares: "I tweeted out that I love 8 Sleep. I don't have any affiliation with them, I just had one of their mattresses and I tweeted out how much I loved it. Right away their team reached out like 'hey can we do an affiliate deal or do you ever want to partner together?' I'm like 'no man, I'm just talking about cool stuff that I like.' But they said they sold a lot of mattresses from that tweet."

Reed Duchscher adds context: "The people that follow you can afford the product, they've probably been following you for a long time, and they trust what you say because you guys aren't shilling a ton of stuff constantly. So when you authentically talk about a product, people pay attention."
