MFM Strategic Cross-Promotion

Shaan reveals how he strategically got Sam Parr involved in the My First Million podcast.

"What happened was the Hustle wasn't promoting the podcast enough and I was thinking how do I get them to promote it? Maybe I could tell them what's in it for them, maybe I could make better content, or maybe I could just invite Sam on the podcast and he will for sure make them promote it.

So when they were launching Trends, I was like 'Hey come on and let's just bullshit about upcoming trends and startups.' I figured they have to promote that episode because that's their thing. And then Sam was like 'Let me do that every Friday.'

That's how it became the podcast. Sam thought it was because a guest bailed on us one day, but I'm coming clean right here in front of our 500 closest friends - it was actually a calculated move to get The Hustle to promote the show."
