Brady's Mobility Revolution

A discussion about how Tom Brady's training philosophy has influenced fitness trends towards mobility and flexibility.

"Tom Brady, the greatest quarterback of all time, came out with the TB12 program. People were amazed that Brady was still playing and winning Super Bowls at 42-43 years old, making him the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl.

He credits his longevity to two main things: eating super clean and focusing on flexibility, mobility, and pliability instead of traditional strength and explosive training. He says that's how he avoids getting hurt.

This has made this style of training much cooler and more mainstream. I've noticed among my friends in Austin, they're less focused on lifting heavy weights and more focused on what we call 'mobility' - it's like a manly version of yoga. There are now multiple successful companies built around this concept, like The Ready State, GoWOD, and Knees Over Toes Guy, all focusing on mobility and flexibility training rather than traditional strength training."
