Wife Bought Creator's Guide

Sam Parr shares a story about his successful Gumroad product and a surprising coincidence with his wife.

"Before the Hustle, I owned a roommate matching business and I mastered Craigslist. In cities like San Francisco and New York, a person on Craigslist will get hundreds of replies to their apartment. So I created a guide teaching people how to email others to get an apartment on Craigslist.

It was so successful that on the first date with my now wife, I asked her how she got an apartment. She said 'Oh I just used some guide online' - and she had bought my guide. I sold a lot of them, made tens of thousands of dollars on Gumroad. The product was called 'The Miracle Craigslist Template.'"
