A story about discovering a successful Instagram-based cookie business run by an unexpected entrepreneur.
Ben showed me this Instagram account called "My Cookie Dealer." When we looked into it, we discovered they do weekly cookie drops with different flavors that sell out within seconds. They're doing $200,000 a week - $10 million a year - just dropping cookies on Instagram and shipping them nationwide.
The fascinating part was when we looked up the owner. His name is Juan Diesel Moore Morell, and he's this massive bodybuilder. When you go to his Instagram, he looks like those guys you see in bodybuilding competitions - huge muscles with that distinctive competition tan. He's built this incredibly successful premium cookie business while looking like he's never eaten a cookie in his life.
They take orders during these drops, figure out how many they need to make, and ship them out a few days later. It's become this whole phenomenon where people are desperately trying to get their hands on these cookies during these limited releases.
