Capital One Banking Workspace

A discussion about Capital One's successful implementation of coworking spaces within their banks.
Sam Parr shares that he used to frequently visit Capital One's coworking space. He explains that coworking can be an excellent customer lead generation tool, particularly for companies with high customer lifetime values like banks or software companies.
"Coworking could actually be a great customer lead gen. If you're a software company or a bank trying to get freelancers or business owners, and you have a super high LTV of tens of thousands of dollars, it could be interesting to do this. I actually joked with my guys at Hubspot saying we should do this."
Shaan adds: "Every tech company is spending so much money recruiting engineers. Why not just have space as your recruiting tool? You rent out space, even if you break even or are slightly unprofitable, you would make up for it in the actual recruiting of people who are there because they're in your orbit. They get to eat the food and whatever else, and you're just absorbing talent as you go."
