Sam's Body Fat Journey
Share
Sam shares his systematic approach to fitness and health transformation, detailing his current routine and investments.
"I do 4 days a week of strength training and 3 days cardio, usually lifting weights or bodyweight stuff. I sleep from 11 to 7, and I'm currently around 11-12% body fat. I spend about $15,000 a year on fitness, including:
- $299/month for a trainer at Central Athlete in Austin
- $600/month for daily calls with a nutritionist (My Body Tutor)
- $3,000-5,000 for a home gym setup
- $200-300 for blood work 2-3 times a year with Inside Tracker
- Massages 1-2 days a week at Run Lab
- Various subscriptions like Aptiv, MyFitnessPal, and Fitfitive
My rules are simple: Always have a goal with a deadline, always hire coaches if there's anything I want to learn, no processed foods or sugar unless planned, and don't fret over money if it makes me healthier. I'm not trying to be perfect - just trying to be the least bad most of the time and intentional about when I splurge.
The point of business and money is to live a really long and good life. Money is maybe number 2 - number 1 is just being fit."
