A story about how Jack Butcher's NFT sales progressively grew larger, as told by Shaan Puri and Sam Parr.
Jack started by selling his first NFT for around $2-3,000 (1.5 ETH). Then he released another NFT that sold for $70,000 (33 ETH). When Sam called Jack about this sale, Jack simply responded "Yeah, it's crazy mate."
The next evolution was when Jack created mystery packs. He made a website with 12 different packs that looked like baseball cards with a Jack Butcher cover. They were simply labeled "Pack 1, Pack 2, Pack 3" etc. People would buy these packs without knowing what NFT art was inside. Each pack sold for around $10-15,000.
Finally, Jack listed a new piece called "Fame" for $76 million. He deliberately priced it above Beeple's previous record of $69 million, aiming to make it the highest-priced digital artwork in history. As Sam noted, "The reason why this is so crazy is it might work - someone might be crazy enough to do this."
