But a lot of people don't have the ability to wait that long and don't even know how to build something that takes that long.

The number one problem I see with founders is not technical - it's emotional. Founders lie on one of two spectrums: either they're incredibly impatient and never wait long enough to see if any strategy will work, or they're too tolerant and want to be liked at all costs, so they don't make good decisions for their business.

A lot of people think waiting a quarter is a long time. I tell them 'try waiting 18 months.' People don't have the ability to wait that long and don't know how to build something that takes that long."
