Sam Parr's Hassan Mixup

Sam Parr tells a story about mistakenly chasing down someone he thought was comedian Hassan Minhaj in New York City.

"I was out to eat with my friend Jason from Blockworks on Saturday night in New York City. We were sitting outside and I see Hassan walk by. I was like 'Oh Jason, there's that guy that was on our pod.' I asked if I should go say what's up to him and Jason said yeah.

He already made it down the block but I got up from dinner and chased him down. I finally grab him and say 'Hassan, what's going on man?' He turns around and I apologize for bothering him, introducing myself as Sam Parr, mentioning we chatted on Twitter and he was on the podcast.

He goes 'What?' I explain again about My First Million podcast and he says 'Dude, I've never been on a podcast before.' I'm like 'What do you mean? You're Hassan the comedian right?' He says no and I get so embarrassed. I try explaining that Hassan's tall and he's short, but realize I'm just making it worse.

As I turn to walk away, he chases me down and asks 'What podcast?' I tell him My First Million and he goes 'Are you Sam Parr?' Then he holds up his phone showing My First Million on his Spotify - he was actually a listener! His girlfriend started laughing and it went from being the most embarrassing thing I'd done all year to working out okay in the end."
