"My friend Chris from FirstBase does remote work setup - when you have a remote employee, they need a desk, chair, webcam, and microphone to work effectively. When I started advising him, the pitch was 'I think companies are going remote more, maybe they'll pay for home office setups.'
Then COVID happened and his waitlist exploded. Thousands of companies started signing up and he couldn't handle the demand. Now every company needs someone in HR planning how to handle remote employees. Companies are realizing remote work actually functions well, questioning why they're paying so much for office space when remote is cheaper.
His market essentially got accelerated by 4 years because of the pandemic."
