Gaming Sessions Build Relationships

A story about how a young gamer named Raffy helped build important business relationships at AppLovin through his passion for gaming.
"There was this guy Raffy - when we created AppLovin, he was just somebody Adam knew through his brother. He was 19 years old and didn't want to go to college. All he wanted to do was something big and play video games.
He would spend all day and night playing Street Fighter, but then he would talk to every single Japanese mobile gaming company all night and just grind. It was an awesome environment. I'm the type of person where if I get really excited about something, that's all I want to do. So I'm at the office, Raffy's at the office, we spend all night - I'm hearing his conversations, I get pumped up about it.
Later, Raffy wanted to build games and they created Lion Studios within AppLovin. It wasn't very big at the start, just some small games. But when I looked at the S1 and dug into it, I think it's like half the business now. Started with this ad network and then in 2-3 years built up this whole second part of the business."
