Larry David Haggles Golf Balls
Share
A story about Larry David being spotted at a driving range, acting exactly like his TV character over ball prices.
"Someone told me they were at a hole-in-the-wall driving range and saw Larry David there around 2 PM on a Tuesday. Nobody was paying attention to him - he just looked like an old guy. They overheard him talking to the person selling golf balls. The balls were $11 and he started complaining, not about the price itself, but about the inconvenience of the amount.
He was saying 'Why does this have to be $11? If I give you a $10 bill, it's not enough. Now I have to give you a $20, then you'll give me a $5 and four ones. What am I going to do with these ones?'
It was like watching an actual Curb Your Enthusiasm skit playing out in real life."
