A story about a VC who made a bold prediction about OnlyFans' future success and took action to get ownership in the company.
"I had a buddy who was a VC who quit his job and was going to raise his own fund. He identified OnlyFans about 3 years ago and said 'OnlyFans is going to be massive.' At that time it seemed pretty big already, and I questioned how much bigger it could get.
He said 'I'm going to spend the next year trying to get ownership in OnlyFans.' He made it his mission for a year. They didn't let anybody invest, but he was able to get advisory shares by helping them out in different ways.
He told me 'I remember when Twitch acquired us - OnlyFans will be bigger than Twitch.' I didn't believe it because Twitch was one of the top 6 most visited websites in America. But he was right - OnlyFans passed Twitch in terms of users and revenue in the last year. This guy really called the shot being super bullish on OnlyFans and was absolutely correct."
