Amazon Product Testing Bans
Share
A story about Jack Smith's obsessive product testing habits and how it led to multiple Amazon bans.
"Anything that I buy ranging from a book bag to baby apparel or accessories, or one time when I was obsessed with chocolate, I would literally buy 50 versions and test all of them. Then I'd rank them on this attribute system and have huge lists of everything I've tested.
I got banned from Amazon multiple times. And Bonobos had this policy - I don't know if they still have it - but for many years they had a policy where you could return any item, even if it was used, up to 365 days after purchase. So I had a spreadsheet tracking when I bought everything. Basically I got a new wardrobe every year because I just sent all my clothes back on day 340 and then got it all as credit and bought an entire new wardrobe every year.
Yeah, I got banned from Amazon a few times and Bonobos should have banned me too."
