$800 Backsplash Paralysis

Sam Parr shares a story about his struggle with spending money despite being wealthy.

"I've been really struggling with spending decisions. For example, the backsplash on my sink in my kitchen needs to be replaced and it's $800. I've been fretting over it for over a year now thinking '$800 to replace that? I can't!' Even though it will add value to the home and make me happier.

I understand why people think this way - it's rooted in trauma and fear. I think it's challenging when you've felt one way for years and suddenly things are different. I'm more like Shaan's father than Shaan - I have this trauma where even though I have money now, I still struggle with these spending decisions."
