Trump Conspiracy Drives $50K

A TikTok marketing strategy that generated massive engagement and sales.

Robert Oliver shares a story about a highly effective TikTok marketing video:

"This is a great one. I think this video last I checked had made this kid close to $50,000 - the creator, from a single video. He paired a modern thing, Trump getting elected, with conspiracy and all this.

The hook was him talking about Trump instead of saying 'Hey I have a product I'd like to tell you about.' He created an information gap saying Trump 'went after one of the biggest industries in the world' making viewers wonder which industry and what he did.

The video is intentionally raw - he's taking a video of an Android phone so you don't think it's an advertisement. It feels like a random dude telling you a story, not an influencer selling you something.

He builds this case about oil of oregano being 'antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-candida, antiviral, anti-parasites, and anti-mold.' Then he adds scarcity with his call to action: 'The only bad thing about this product is how fast they sell out especially around this season. If you're sick of being sick and you want to try these out for yourself and you see that orange cart right there, that means they are still in stock and the flash sale is still live.'

It was masterful TikTok Shop marketing. The average person sees that and they're going to the coffee table at work the next day talking about 'man, mold and fungus is everywhere' and 'take this oil of oregano.'"
