Beyond Meat Investment Returns

A story about discovering a venture capitalist's wall of framed share certificates showing incredible investment returns, including Beyond Meat.

"When we did Camp MFM, we stayed in this house and on the stairway up to the guest bedroom, there were these plaques on the wall. The guy whose house we were staying in was a venture capitalist who lives in North Carolina.

I was walking up there and saw 'Beyond Meat' - he was framing share certificates. It showed this guy owned 45,000 shares priced at 1 cent a share, and then Beyond Meat went public at $11 a share. I literally took out the calculator app to do the math. He had like 20 of these on his wall, and they were all like 'issued shares at 22 cents a share, now going public at $22 a share.' He owned 10,000 shares here, 20,000 shares there, 15,000 shares, 50,000 shares. When you do the math, it's a staggering amount of money being generated from these investments."
