Tesla Investment Regret

Shaan shares a story about how he sold his Tesla stock investment too early after being influenced by Reddit conspiracy theories.
"The only stock I owned early on was Tesla, back when Tesla was like a very young stock - maybe a 2 or 3 billion dollar valuation. I had a very small amount of money out of college, I had made like 25k at my first job. I saved enough to invest that much, maybe 25-30k.
I went on Reddit and there's this group called 'Tesla Q' - basically people who believed Tesla was going to zero or fraudulent. There would be guys posting things like 'Look at this garage in Phoenix' and he would go to this garage where there were only Teslas parked on 6 stories. He's walking up saying 'They're stashing them here so you can't tell they're not selling.' They're like 'Look at this one, it's got dust, it hasn't moved in months.'
At one point they had like 15 different CFOs and I thought 'That does seem fishy - why have so many CFOs looked at the books and left in a very short time?' I took all these signals and sold. I tripled or quadrupled my investment and thought 'Yeah, I'm getting out at the top boys.' Then it went up 100x since then. I did the math once - that 25k would have been like 6 million dollars by now if I had just held."
