A story about how Al Doan and his mom built a massive quilting business and transformed their town into a quilting destination.
"Patrick Campbell runs a payments company called Profitwell and we asked him if he sees any cool trends in the payment space. He said 'quilting' and we're like 'what?' He said 'quilting is enormous.'
Afterwards, I get a DM from Al Doan saying 'Hey, I'm one of those companies. We make 100+ million a year. My mom Jenny Doan started this business and I joined her. We sell crafts for quilters - the squares, the fabrics, and we do daily flash deals.'
They built this huge thing to the point where he bought a small town and turned it into the mecca of quilting. It's like the Disneyland for quilters - if you're a quilter and you want to take a trip to indulge in your hobby, this is where you go."
