Photography Helps Daughter Heal

A story about how a children's photography business was born from helping their daughter regain her voice through storytelling.

"The founders are super mission-driven. Their daughter got told at school to shut up because she was stupid, and she didn't talk for 9 months. They couldn't figure out how to get her to talk again. Since they were photographers, they started taking pictures and put it into a story experience where she was her own hero. In the story they put together for her, she gets her voice back. That actually worked - their daughter started talking again.

That's why they're super mission-driven around the donation stuff they do. We donated a million dollars last year to kids' stuff. The business is called Magic Chain of Fairies - it's a magical storybook experience. It's kind of like taking Disney and putting it in other areas. People come in, we take pictures, and they can walk out with a book with them in it."
