Shaan shares his approach to public speaking success by focusing on imagining positive outcomes rather than potential failures.
"People ask me about public speaking tips, and here's what I always say: Don't think about what you need to say first. Start by imagining the reaction at the end - how people are going to feel and react.
When I teach my course on Zoom, where people pay $1,000 per person, I need to make it engaging. Instead of worrying about what words I'm going to say, I imagine how I want it to end. I picture the Zoom chat flooding with comments - people saying 'this was a 12 out of 10', 'oh my god so many nuggets of gold', 'so glad I came.' I imagine the volume of chat just flying through the screen with positive feedback.
This gets me in a certain type of mood and gives me confidence. Then I can operate naturally, and the right words happen to come out because I'm operating from the right state of mind."
