Miami-Stanford Culture Clash

Ryan Breslow shares his background and the culture shock he experienced moving from Miami to Stanford.

"I grew up in Miami, Florida. My mom worked a local secretarial job and my dad had a small business. I grew up very middle class and went to Stanford on almost entirely financial aid.

I went to a big public high school in Miami with 4,000 kids and grew up in a very diverse environment - I even got into break dancing. When I came to Silicon Valley and Stanford, it was like the biggest culture shock ever because Miami and Silicon Valley couldn't be more opposite."

[Note: Sam Parr interjects "not anymore" at the end, to which Ryan agrees, suggesting Miami has become more similar to Silicon Valley recently]
