Snapbar's Gift Box Pivot

A story about how Snapbar, a photo booth events company, completely pivoted their business model during COVID to survive.
"Snapbar was really cool - they're a business that normally sells photo booths for events. Given that all events for the foreseeable future were canceled, they had to find an entirely new business model to keep all their employees afloat.
In the Seattle-Tacoma area of Washington, they worked with local vendors to put together direct-to-consumer boxes highlighting soaps, food stuffs, all kinds of local Seattle goods from producers that otherwise would have struggled to keep their own lights on.
They realized they had a customer service team and sales staff, so they decided to use all their internal resources and talented employees to sell a completely different product. In doing so, they hoped to keep their lights on and keep these other producers engaged and make sure their businesses were still moving.
They came up with this really cool solution that's now available not just in Seattle but in San Francisco and several other cities, and they're working on expanding that."
