Palmer's Zero-Calorie Cheese Lab

Shaan tells a story about Palmer Luckey's experimental food project where he tried to create zero-calorie food using oil.
"Palmer converted his dining room into a lab to work on this crazy idea. He wanted to solve obesity, but his approach was different. Instead of telling people to eat less of foods they don't like, he wanted to make fake food out of oil - zero calorie food that tastes amazing.
He said oil tastes amazing and we can manipulate it into anything - we can turn it into candles, waxes, all sorts of things. He actually created a grilled cheese sandwich that was zero calories using oil that tasted delicious.
But when we asked why he didn't pursue this idea further, he said there simply wasn't going to be enough oil supply to do it. They would have had to take oil out of the sewage system and centrifuge it to recycle it. Even Palmer realized that wasn't feasible."
