"Our friend Sully made a joke. He said 'I got this new brilliant investment strategy - Shaan invests in something, and then he tells me about it 2 weeks to 2 months later, and then I pay 10x the price for the same company.'
He was making fun of himself because that's literally what's happened in like 6 or 8 deals now. I'll tell him about it but he delays responding for a couple weeks, or I forget to tell him, and he tells me about the company a few months later. I'm like 'Oh yeah I invested in that.' He asks if I can make an intro, and I do, but the price has gone up dramatically because the company has more traction."
