Apartment Bakery Success

A story about how a French-American couple built a successful croissant business from their apartment.

"Right before the pandemic started, there was a French guy and his American girlfriend (now husband and wife) who started baking croissants in their apartment. They brought them to work and sold them to their friends and coworkers.

Eventually, they created an Instagram account and went viral. Now you have to pre-order 8 weeks out because they're sold out for weeks. They're just baking these croissants and cookies out of their apartment.

The apartment I'm staying in right now bought some - you have to pre-order, and it's like $90 for these fancy croissants. The guy who owns my apartment got them but ended up going out of the country, so he told me I could have his order. I invited Dave Nemitz, the founder of Bleacher Report, and his wife to come over and eat these with me on Sunday."
