Panda Express Self-Help Growth
Share
Sam Parr shares a story about how Panda Express focuses on employee development and growth.
"We were talking about the Panda Express guy in our last episode. He employs like 20,000 people and he pays for them to go to Tony Robbins events. He gives them Think and Grow Rich books and all these self-help books.
He's like 'Yeah, the whole chicken thing is cool and all, but I'm actually taking hourly wage workers and trying to elevate them.' That's what I can get behind. If you look at a lot of non-tech or non-Silicon Valley companies that employ like 30,000 people, they're like 'Yeah, we sell tires and that's cool, but what we're really trying to do is create jobs.' That's fascinating and exciting and better for the economy."
