$200K Clothing Test

Neil Patel shares a story about an expensive experiment he conducted to test if expensive clothing would impact business growth.
"I did crazy experiments. I spent like 100-something or 200-something thousand on clothes and wanted to see what that did in business meetings. I spent money flying first class everywhere to see what that would do.
I tried a lot of different experiments, and it was just for fun and also a reason to justify some of my expenses. I remember my first time flying first class - someone else paid for it - and I thought 'wow, I've been missing out, this is a lot better than being crammed up flying all the way to Europe from Los Angeles in economy.'
The clothing experiment didn't drive as much growth for the brand, but it did help out every little bit."
Ironically, Neil later mentions he now wears simple $10-20 white t-shirts with stains from his kids, showing how his perspective on clothing has changed.
