"Sandbox VR is struggling because their whole business model relies on people going to physical places in malls to wear VR headsets that someone else wore an hour before. With foot traffic dead in malls and nobody wanting to wear shared devices, they had to really think about how they're going to survive.
They had to do some layoffs and figure out what the new world looks like for them. It's unfortunate because some great ideas and businesses got punted back a year or two or four years, while other markets got pulled forward. Sandbox VR was one of those that got pushed back."
