Gaming Business Incubator

An incubator focused on supporting and mentoring kids who are building businesses within video game ecosystems. The idea stems from observing that many successful entrepreneurs started by creating businesses within games like Minecraft, Runescape, and now Roblox.

Key Points:

  • Target Entrepreneurs:

    • Kids building Minecraft servers
    • Roblox creator map developers
    • Game-based business operators
    • Fortnite creative map builders
  • Historical Success Pattern:

    • Many millionaires started with game-based businesses
    • Examples include Stake founders who started with Runescape casino
    • 100% success rate observed among people who built businesses within games
  • Support Structure:

    • Provide mentorship to young entrepreneurs
    • Help transition gaming business skills to real-world applications
    • Create Y Combinator-style program for "weirdos" building in-game businesses
  • Value Proposition:

    • Catch future entrepreneurs early in their journey
    • Help prevent talented builders from defaulting to traditional careers like banking
    • Guide them through the transition from gaming to broader business opportunities
    • Provide guidance during critical early years to prevent "fucking around for a few years"

The idea capitalizes on the pattern that successful entrepreneurs often start by building businesses within game ecosystems, and aims to support and accelerate their development.
