Hustle Sale Leak

Sam Parr shares a story about how his company The Hustle's acquisition news was leaked to the press right before the official announcement.
"The Hustle was supposed to sell, with the deal closing on February 5th, which was also their earnings call date. There were legal implications with the SEC involved. If I told someone and they made a big trade, that would be insider trading - you could go to jail.
The day before we were supposed to announce, I get an email from Sarah Fisher at Axios. Someone leaked it to her. I had only told a small amount of people who were helping me and guiding me. I explicitly said 'don't tell anyone, this is a big deal.'
She told me a bunch of facts about the deal and I was like 'how on earth do you know this?' We weren't even a big company - I don't know why this should be gossip. It freaked me out big time.
To this day, I suspect it was one of 3 people. I hold a grudge against them. I already have my revenge planned and I check up on them constantly. Those people probably know who they are because they see me looking at their LinkedIn all the time. I want them to know that I see them."
