"When the pandemic started, one of the things we did - there's lots of uncertainty, businesses are struggling, everyone's battening down the hatches. We said 'okay, we're going to give even more value.' For our partners, we're going to front them the cash for the revenue we know is coming over time because cash is an issue, and we had a bunch of cash on the balance sheet.

We did things that made us stronger and helped our customers. We're looking for those same kinds of opportunities now. Everyone's looking at their P&L and all their line items - can we benefit from this? Because HubSpot in some ways is countercyclical. Instead of buying the big incumbent and spending hundreds of thousands, maybe now people that might not have considered HubSpot a year ago would consider it because they're a bit more value conscious than they were historically."
