Cuban's Cold Email Success
Share
A story about how Justin Mares and his brother secured a manufacturing partnership for their bone broth company through a cold email to Mark Cuban.
"We had to figure out how to make the product, so we emailed and called over 500 different manufacturing partners to try to get someone to help us figure out how to make this product.
What ended up working was my brother, who was 19 at the time and co-founded the business with me, emailed Mark Cuban saying 'I'm a 19-year-old entrepreneur, please help.' Mark Cuban introduced us to a manufacturing partner who we ended up working with and still work with today to make our first version of the bone broth product.
Cuban said 'talk to my food person' and then his food person introduced us to our co-packer. This connection was crucial because we had already pre-sold $2,000 worth of product without having any way to manufacture it. That manufacturing partner became our long-term solution, and we're still working with them today."
