Colorado Hiking Proposal

Dan shares the story of how he proposed to Jen during a hiking trip in Colorado.

"It had been on my mind - this April marks 6 years we've been together. Over the last couple years, I knew I wanted to move forward and ask Jen to marry me. I was trying to think through different options of how to propose, something practical versus romantic.

Last summer we were on vacation in Colorado and I thought this could be a good time. I went to a running store in the morning before our hike and bought a couple Qalo silicone rings to determine which size and style she might like. While she was looking in another part of the store, I quickly bought them and shoved them in my pocket.

As we got towards higher elevations, the people on the trail started to thin out. I figured I better do this pretty soon. I convinced a couple college kids to help - I gave them my camera to take video, and Jen gave them her camera for pictures.

Jen was completely surprised, saying 'Why do you want video? What do you want a video for?' Then I proposed. It was very sweet."
