Producer Poaching Via References

Greg tells a story about how My First Million podcast acquired his producer Ari through a sneaky reference check.

"I gotta get something off my chest. Producer Ari - you stole my producer. You guys send me a text asking 'What do you think about Ari as a producer? I see you work with her.' I responded saying 'She's amazing, she's the best, nothing wrong about her.'

Then all of a sudden, I'm getting a text from Ari being like 'Dude thank you so much, thank you so much! I've just got the craziest job at My First Billion.'

When Sam and Shaan asked if it was okay, I said 'It's not okay.' But it happened."

The hosts admitted they thought Ari had already finished working with Greg when they reached out, but Greg playfully maintained his stance that they poached his producer through a reference check.
