Quello Streaming Service Sale

Sam Parr shares information about Quello, a niche streaming service focused on live concerts.

"Quello is a streaming app that started in 2010, available on Apple TV and phones. You pay $10 a month and get access to a library of live concerts. The quality is better than YouTube - the camera work and sound are superior, like what you'd get on a concert DVD.

They built it to 70,000 paying subscribers over 10 years. While that's not huge, it's a viable business. They were recently acquired by Stingray Communications, a publicly traded cable company in Canada.

If someone wanted to launch something similar, I'd recommend looking up Stingray Communications and reading their filing to figure out exactly what Quello does. It's a relatively niche thing, but it's an incredibly viable business."
