MrBeast Solves Basketball

Shaan shares a story about Mr. Beast's unique approach to solving problems and creating his own reality.

"We wanted to play basketball the next day. It was midnight and somebody said 'I can't wait till tomorrow, I just want to play.' Mr. Beast goes 'Well why do we have to wait?' We said 'It's midnight Jamie, what are you going to do?' He says 'I'm sure there's a gym around here somewhere, let's go find one.'

We responded 'But they're gonna be locked, it's midnight, schools aren't gonna be open.' He said 'Call the athletic director. Just call all of them right now in the county - it will take us 20 minutes and offer any of them $1,000 to see if they'll come open it.'

Part of it wasn't about throwing money at problems. It's that everybody else would immediately default to 'this is not possible, not feasible, not gonna be doable' whereas his default assumption on any given thing is 'why not, of course we could do that.'"
