"When Enduring first pitched it, they showed me the stats about boomer businesses where owners want to retire, don't want to run their business anymore, and their kids don't want to take it over. These businesses are up for grabs - they're too small to be sexy as a startup and too small for big private equity.
They started with just $2 million in starting equity. They began buying these businesses, like a pool construction company called Dolphin Pools in Arizona that's now crushing it, and several local internet service providers. They just keep buying one after another.
Now, Siva and Xavier have rolled up almost $100 million of business equity off of that $2 million starting amount. They're basically like Permanent Equity - they buy and hold these amazing businesses for a very long time."
