Religious Airbnb Entrepreneur

Sam Parr shares a story about meeting a successful young entrepreneur who is part of a unique religious community.
"I met this guy on Twitter named Isaac French. He's only 25 and he bought a 5-acre plot of land and built cabins on it, turned it into an Airbnb that's making $1 million in sales. He architected the whole thing himself, and since he's an accountant, he did all the accounting. He even hired all the builders himself as the general contractor.
What's fascinating is he's part of this religion called Homestead Heritage. It's a community that stresses simplicity, sustainability, self-sufficiency, and quality craftsmanship. They own 500 acres in Waco, Texas, about 2 hours from Austin. All their food is made on that land and shared within the community. They're also pretty savvy at business.
They have this festival where you can go buy their arts and crafts. I'm actually driving 90 minutes this weekend to go there - we're gonna sing Christmas songs and buy arts and crafts. This community is so fascinating to me."

Sam remains the host of the popular business podcast, My First Million, and continues to start and sell companies. He also co-founded Hampton, a highly vetted community for entrepreneurs, founders, and CEOs, and teaches people to write better through his platform, Copy That.
