A story about how Miss Excel turned her TikTok following into a multi-million dollar course business after being approached by Morning Brew.
"She was getting popular on TikTok but wasn't making any money when Morning Brew reached out to do a feature story on her. At the same time, a business coach contacted her and asked 'What do you have to sell?' She replied 'Oh I don't sell anything, it's all free content.' They told her 'If you're gonna get featured, you should have something to sell.'
She accepted the challenge and decided to make a course, having never done it before. She had about 2 weeks to pull it all together. Fast forward to today, she's making six figures a month from courses, making single-digit millions a year. She has days where she's made over $100,000 in course sales during special events like Black Friday.
She quit her job as a consultant and now works 15 hours a week unless she's making a course. She has one overseas virtual assistant and pays for Thinkific as her course platform plus a video editor. Her total expenses are probably under $2,000 a month, so she's profiting at least $100,000 monthly. Microsoft loves her, and she's been featured in Business Insider, Buzzfeed, and many other places. Now she's working towards her goal of hitting $1 million a month as Miss Excel."
