"My parents make 6 figures a year Airbnb-ing their home. They'll get $700 to $800 a night for their home, and then they'll just go rent a hotel 40 minutes or an hour away. They'll go to wine country or wherever and rent a hotel for $200, and they pocket the difference.
They don't care where they go - they'll stay at a hotel, go on vacation, come to my house, leave the city. It works because they can make so much more renting their house than what they spend on alternative accommodations."
